Companies

Many companies large and small from pharmaceutical to food processing have taken advantage of EMT’s products and services. This has been driven by the need to reduce head office; factory and retail overheads and so improve net margins.

The increasing cost of energy and water to most commercial enterprises means the adoption of energy management strategies is no longer just a green option.

Universities

Universities such as Edinburgh, Loughborough, Sheffield, Kent and many others have benefited from EMT systems. The DATABIRD wireless configuration is ideally suited to large, multi-building single sites.

Local Authorities

To date 16 local authorities have acquired solutions from Energy Metering Technology. The largest scheme has been Leicester City Council who have not just embraced energy monitoring and targeting within their own buildings but also involved local businesses as well as schools, colleges and local amenities. The benefits to local authorities and hence to rate payers are significant in terms of carbon reduction and cost saving.

The Carbon Trust’s programme for local authorities has greatly increased the awareness of the need for automatic monitoring and targeting of energy and water consumption.

Hopitals

There are 17 NHS Trusts who have benefited from EMT’s automatic monitoring and targeting systems, including Lincoln, South Bucks and West Lancashire. We have provided hardware and communication configurations to support large, complex sites to enable hospitals to effectively target energy reductions.
